Region III includes 8 project areas that represent six states (Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland,
Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia) and two metropolitan areas (Baltimore and Philadelphia).
Project area representatives act in an advisory capacity in the implementation of the goals of the CDC National Infertility Prevention Project on the regional level. In addition, they are responsible for directing and managing project area specific efforts to prevent STD-related infertility at the local level.
